2025 Refurb Broiler House Project - Shropshire, England
As part of an expansion project in Shropshire, our team supported a farm moving from four to eight broiler houses. The four existing sheds were fully refurbished and upgraded to match the specification of the four new builds, creating a seamless, high performance site designed for long term flock health and operational efficiency.
This project brought together advanced climate control, precision ventilation, modern feeding and watering systems, and a robust air scrubbing solution to support both welfare and environmental compliance.
Complete Modernisation with Fancom One Control
All eight houses now operate on the Fancom One platform, giving the farm a single, centralised point of control for ventilation, heating, lighting, feeding and environmental monitoring. The intuitive interface allows the customer to manage conditions across the site with accuracy and consistency, supporting better flock outcomes and operational oversight.
Advanced Ventilation Package
To align the refurbished sheds with the new builds, this project included a complete upgrade of the ventilation system using a combination of Fancom Fantura technologies, conventional inlets and high-capacity tunnel ventilation:
Fantura Sliding Inlets – Tackling Airflow Obstacles
Fantura sliding inlets were installed beside the windows, providing directional airflow control in areas where nests, equipment or internal structures could interrupt the air pattern. These inlets allow each louvre to be set independently, ensuring the incoming air is directed correctly and preventing cold air from dropping on the birds.

Fantura Standard Wall Inlets
Traditional Fantura wall inlets were fitted to deliver a controlled, evenly distributed supply of fresh air. As shown in the Fancom brochure, Fantura wall inlets are designed to keep air speed stable and prevent cold air from falling directly onto the flock. Their shape bundles the incoming air for greater throw and an even climate throughout the house.

Fantura 6000 VFG Tunnel Inlets
For hot weather performance and strong airflow capability, the site incorporates Fantura tunnel inlets. These inlets open gradually from top to bottom, maintaining airflow uniformity and preventing draughts even at high ventilation rates. Their design supports the cooling breeze effect without compromising bird comfort.

Together, the inlet package ensures consistent fresh air delivery, stable temperatures, improved litter quality and a healthier environment.
Air Scrubbing System: Lavamatic Reventa (Munters)
To strengthen environmental performance and meet local permitting requirements, the site was fitted with Lavamatic Reventa air washing units supplied through Munters. These systems are designed to reduce emissions by filtering and treating exhaust air from the poultry houses, supporting compliance with ammonia and odour management standards.
This integration ensures the farm operates with a reduced environmental footprint while maintaining strong internal air quality for the birds.
Feeding, Watering and Silo Integration
To complete the mechanical package, the farm also received upgraded or newly installed:
